Getting a great likeness of your dog or cat really matters to me, rather than just a pleasing painting. I try to find what makes your pet unique and as I take on a commission, it means that I am confident I can do a good job. If I think the photos are too poor to use, I will say so, and save us both future disappointment. So, please send me your best.

Tips from Jean to get the best picture for your portrait:
I prefer a high quality photo. To make the pet portrait to the likeness of your pet, select a photo that has natural lighting and gives good detail. Also, please ensure that eyes, nose and any unique features are shown well, as I will use the pose in your picture for the painting. Backgrounds are generally dark, and hues will match your pet, unless otherwise noted.
