We adopted sweet Sterling from the local shelter in January 2022 when she was 6.5 years old and can’t believe she is gone. There are so many things we will miss about her. She was such a social cat, with such a unique personality, winning over even those non-cat-lovers she met. She loved to follow her humans around the house and would engage in a nightly game of chase or hide-and-seek with them. She regularly carried either her beloved shoelace or gray mouse around in her mouth like it was her “Linus’s blanket”. She had tail-control issues and could be found chasing her own tail on occasion. Whenever she heard the Doritos or Cheetos bag open, she’d fly into the kitchen, begging to lick the cheese off a chip. She loved sitting on her cat tree chittering away at the birds hanging out on the balcony railing. Our shattered hearts are covered in her paw prints. Sleep well our little nugget.
